One that slipped under the radar
Today was a slow Shark news day. Oh well, Friday and Saturday were full of fabulous Shark parties. Instead here is one from early March that we missed...oops.

The hilariously named 39-year-old prison guard Jacques Peens, was fishing for game fish from his kayak off the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast of South Africa, when he hooked a Shark.
He claims to have been trying to cut the Shark from the line when it lifted itself out of the water and bit him through the kayak and into his thigh.

He made it to shore safely and required a three-hour operation to reattach a flap of skin to his leg, but he has made a full recovery. There is no word as to what kind of Shark it was. Maybe it was this kind of Shark:

Dolphin on Dolphin Violence

There has been a shortage of Common Dolphins in Algoa Bay, near Port Elizabeth, South Africa and divemaster Rainer Schimpf found out why. He found a pod of Dolphins being stalked by five Orcas. Orcas or Killer Whales, are not really Whales at all but are really large a bad ass black and white Dolphins. Apparently, they have no problem jamming the shit out of their smaller gray cousins. Rainer Schimpf witnessed a male adult Ocra jamming a Dolphin and then feeding it to his young. Holy Shit!
