South African Shark Fishermen Help Turn Divers into Activists.
Here's Hoping that this:

Turns more of this:

Into this:

Eco-tourists who dive with Sharks off Miller's Point, South Africa report being harassed by local fishermen, who often mock the tourists while offloading tons of dead sharks. They hook the Sharks to gaffes and drag them around the docks in order to piss off the divers. Proponents of the fishermen sing the sorry old tune about them having to make a living. The fact is, live Sharks are more commercially valuable than the dead Sharks, which in South Africa usually end up getting shipped to Australia in order to make an inferior fish and chips product. In South Africa, only White Sharks, Whale Sharks, and Basking Sharks are protected under law. I guess it is up to the vigilantes to protect the other species.
Read.
That's right! I said it! Aussies make inferior Fish and Chips!
